Chandrayaan 2 mission put on hold, new launch date to be announced by ISRO~FlyingPepper

Chandrayaan 2 misson has been aborted by Indian space research organisation (ISRO) minutes before its scheduled launch time on Monday.A new date will be announced soon as informed by ISRO on a twitter post.




The launch was scheduled at 2:51 AM on Monday from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota of Andra Pradesh but after the completion of filling of liquid hydrogen and oxygen,the launch was put on hold citing a technical snag reported on the launch vehicle at T-56 seconds.



Revised date will be announced soon as reported informed by Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO).

Chadrayaan 2 mission equipped with most powerful GSLV Mark III- M1 for the mission .



The mission includes an integrated module comprising an orbiter which will revolve around the moon for a period of one year, Lander Vikram and Rover Pragyaan will touchdown on the moon and collect data on mineral properties of the landing site and the extent of water for a period of 14 earth days.
